My dad is a person who has the belief  that the more you give others, the more you'll get....... seriously.... he came back from France with some chocolates...... thats it........... So when he went to Dubai... I gave him a list and asked him to buy everything on the list from Bath and Body Works....

AND HE DID.............

Their Pocketbacs are sooooo cuteeeeeee and their hand sanitizers smells soooooo good.... I'm so stingy with them... :)

I know its kiddish but i've named my turtle pocketbac as Phelps....... after Micheal Phelps.... lol

Pineapple candle holder, smore biscuit, pineapple orchid and pineapple mango candles...  I havem't burnt them yet but i just open the door of the shelf they're stored in and ........the room smells amazing....

My glow in the dark pocketbac is awesome.... i love it...

Review: Berina Hair Spa and an adorable baby chick...

I'm soooooooo busy.... my new job is from eight thirty AM to six thirty PM...... I come home..... rush to have my bath and then spend time with Candy ( Bee's baby, we're calling her that now)..... :) and then fall asleep and back to the same routine...... I miss blogging, reading, watching Pretty Little Liars and so many other mundane things......

I'm always on the lookout for new hair products...... And i've been using Berina Hair Spa once every ten days ever since i bought it from Monica....

How I use it:
                     After shampooing my hair, i apply this generously all over my head, and then switch on the electrical steamer and show my hair to it for ten mins... then rinse, apply conditioner and rinse again.

Yays:

• Nice packaging,
• A nice mild smell,
• Inexpensive @ 120/- after a 20% discount from 150/-,
• My hair's really soft after using it,
• Hair has a healthy sheen to it and
• Less Split ends.

Nays:

• Unhygenic tub and
• The long list of ingredients at the back worries me...

My rating: (4/5) -1 for the ingrredients...

Would i REpurchase? Nooooo, Planning to buy TBS Hair butter...

A cute Random Purchase......

I'm in love with this............ I dont drink tea, coffee or milk so I'm using this to store my earrings...

Flower Lip Gloss?????........ and a Polishing stone...

             When i told my hubby, that i'll accompany him to the shop where he goes to change the batteries for his watch, he was pretty suspicious, "What are you going to do there?" he asked.... I had earlier spotted a small makeup counter there during my earlier visit........ but i didnt tell him that...... and so when we reached the shop i headed straight inside to the makeup counter.......


              And then i found this....... among the many colors there, i obviously chose pink........

Yup.......... that's a real flower......

It smells really good and it shows up like a lip oil with no color and only a sheen....

But..... I'm scared to use it, since it costs only fifty bucks..... :( Anyways its pretty......)

The Polishing Stone:

I actually bought this for my mom on Mother's Day and i "borrowed" it.... :) And i've used it thrice and i'm liking it a lot......

Yays:

• Reasonably priced @ 120/- (after 20% discount from 150/-)
• Lathers smoothly,
• Claims to have mineral sediments from the Himalays,
• Has a mild earthy smell,
• The small beads in the stone exfoliates really well and
• Does not harm or irritate skin

Nays:

• Not one
• I do not believe it has stuff from the Himalays...... :)

   When i first saw my sister after her delivery in the ICU, the first thing she asked me was whether the baby had her nose. "That's not important" i yelled back... and then when i saw her again in the room where i had been nervously waiting for her to arrive, she came in and asked cheekily.... "Is that really you??? How come your'e without a book in your hand" "Now's no time to read!!!!!!" i said shaking my head..... And then as the days passed, i kept telling my hubby, "Vairam, something is worrying me, but i dont know what it is?" To which he replied... "You haven't made your weekly visit to the library" "That's it" i said and off we went.......

I'm feeling much better now..... after finishing Tiger's Curse and Tiger's Quest..... :) Wish i had a beautiful White Tiger for my own.... Hubby asked me to compromise for a stuffed one instead.......

Will be doing a Review on 100 ways to a Stress Free Life as it had some wonderful points....... and in case you dolls are wondering as to why i'm reading so much of the Fantasy genre..... I'm still trying to fill the large void left in my heart when the Harry Potter series ended.......

P.S: The Tinkles are for  my sister........ she only reads those......... and she's a mom ( me rolling eyes)...

        Ever since Bee had her Baby four days back our house is undergoing a massive Cleaning............ It's back breaking but i had a few surprises along the way........... like finding a favourite missing earring, seven hundred rupees in an old handbag, an old tape of Children's songs Bee and i used to listen to when i was three and she was one......(I put it in the casette player and sang along with tears running down my face(yes i'm a very emotional person) and i remembered all the lyrics) and the best surprise....... finding a huge long forgotten Watsons Bag....... Yay.........

       The bag had lots cleaning stuff( a pity), some crockery, and five Follow Me tubes....Iwas so excited, i had been planning to ask my aunt who is in Singapore to get me some more since the ones tubes i;ve been currently using are getting over....

Movie Review: Snow White and the Huntsman.

       When I told my hubby that I wanted to watch Snow White and the Huntsman, he wanted to run but i told him that when i sat with him and watched "The Expendables" he can very well watch this movie with me....... Anyways, I knew that the poor guy was going to fall asleep (he slept through HP 6 and VTV and  snored mildly through Breaking Dawn) and so we made our way to Satyam Cinemas......

 The movie is directed by Rupert Sanders and it stars Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna, the gorgeous Chris Hemsworth as The Hunstman and Sam Clafin as Prince William. (How cliche' is that....... lol)
      
        While i was not disappointed with the movie, i didnt walk out excited and beaming either.... The trailer and the Promos of the movie are so awesome that you'll be shivering in anticipation for the Movie to come out....  Charlize Theron carries the weight of the whole movie in her slender shoulders...She is amazingly magnificient.... so much so that you're rooting for the villan in this movie because she is vulnerable even though she is Evil...........

        And Kristen Stewart is one lucky female..... any movie she acts in has two extremely hot guys, both vying for her attention.... Her acting powress.... remains the same..... zero.... I expect her to start attacking the humans around her and drink their blood... She looks so much like Bella..... And in this movie she is not the helpless woman waiting for her Knight, she kicks some serious butt.

       James Newton Howard does a commendable job as the music composer of the movie, and there are some cool cg effects.... Hemsworth is a good actor and his body is well suited for the role...

       I must mention Theron again, she is the highlight of the movie outshining Stewart,  and the Costumes are an added bonus........       

 All in all... its a cool movie to watch this summer.........

P.S: My hubby was awake through this entire movie....

I am  a Perima.... My sister gave birth to a beautiful Princess........ Last night at around 8.30........ I'm so excited..... Continue to pray for our tiny little bundle....... Yay....... I'm so happpppppyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!

Review: Oriflame Coconut Hair Oil...

Even though i'm a Mallu by birth... im a true tamilachi at heart and i can speak pucca Tamil better than Malayalam and i adore Chennai... Except during the months of April, May and June. Its soooooooo damn HOT!!!! And it takes all my energy to keep myself cool and avoid visiting the doc often...

And this oil does that perfectly....

How i use it:
                     If i'm staying at home i apply this oil and leave it on my hair the whole day... If i'm going out i allow this to stay in my hair for an hour and shampoo it off.

Yeahs:

• Smells amazing.....
• The oil is light,
• Does not weigh hair down,
• Easily absorbed and
• Nice Packaging.
• Reasonably Priced at 149/-

• Might get over soon...

Review: Oriflame Coconut and Rice Milk Nourishing Hair Mask.

    I've always admired women with long hair, i remember combing my Chitthi's long lovely hair for hours together.... She was asked by Sunsilk to model for them when she was a student in Stella Maris many many years back. My best friend had the longest hair in our school while i was in a boy cut. I used to hate my mom whenever she took Bee and me for our haircuts. I used to cry, pinch her and then throw the lollipop which they gave and then sob all the way back home and refuse to go to school the next day. The only plus to me having a haircut was that daddy used to kiss me a lot for the next two days, he liked my hair cut I guess...

 It was only in my eleventh std that moms allowed me to grow my hair and now i have mid shoulder length thick wavy hair.....Boy was I glad i finally had long hair?????? Yes.... Immensely ...... In my hubby's family everyone has beautiful hair... My SIL's hair is like a big fat long black python and my hubby's hair is smooth, straight and shiny (If i have a baby i want it to have his hair) and my MIL is 58 years old and not a single hair has turned grey.....And when i became interested in beauty products i realised that I was ignoring my hair. My mom always says  "When you never take care of your hair and it's so nice, imagine how it will be if you take extra effort?" And so i bought some hair care products and have been using this for quite sometime now....

How I use it:

After shampooing i scoop this up with the my fingers and apply it all over my head till the tips of my hair. Wait for ten mins (Scrub your body, shave your legs, play with the water or be lost in thought) Rinse thoroughly and follow with conditioner.

Yeahs:

• Smells amazing. (like vanilla and coconut)
• Cute packaging (in the shape of half an coconut)
• Lasts a long time.
• Reasonably priced... i got in on discount for 249/-
• Softens my hair..
• Hair becomes easily manageable after i apply this.

Nays:

• I dont like to dip my fingers into this, esp with wet hands....

Review: Recent Lipstick Purchases...

      My sister's Baby Shower went off with a bang, literally....  everything went on smoothly and then we were all about to leave to bring her home, Bee's sister in law's water broke.... She delivered a beautiful baby girl that day. Amma was terrified that even my sister will go into labour even though she has another month to go... (It would've been like Father Of The Bride 2 with a twist) We are all eagerly waiting for the new one to arrive...

     The next day my cousins and i went to Ampa Mall and i bought the following:
