My camera stopped working, laptop screen cracked (i bawled like a baby) and my hubby said he'll take it to Toshiba and get it repaired..... It will be back tomorrow and i can start posting regularly again....

Review: Oumeidie eye shadows....

 After I complained to my hubby  that even after nine years together(four years of dating and five years of marriage) he has not not bought me one makeup item. He argued that my love for makeup is new found and asked me what I wanted, I told him to buy the Tips and Toes Eyeshadow Quarteret, but instead he bought me the following: (Never send guys alone to buy makeup)

See that empty square... Butter fingers Bee dropped it... I cant even yell at her... Waiting for the baby to be born... Have lots of scoldings in store for her... lol...

Review: Tips and Toes Lip Gloss No.14

You know that a color suits you when your hubby or the special guy in your life asks you to wear the lip gloss you wore last night... This is a beautiful natural color with a shine to it.

     
It's called Chance and i totally stumbled into it by chance and this has become my HG Lip gloss.

• Beautiful color, will suit fair, medium and dusky skin shades.

• It makes the lips fuller and plumper.
• Reasonable staying power.

Nays:

• Not easily available in all stores.

Would I Repurchase? Yes.... i love this color and so does my hubby.

Monica Beauty Store Haul....

        There's a Beauty Store that's raved about in Chennai, and it being in Parrys is so far away. My mom is an Officer in SR and she will always tell me to come there as its very near her office. A year passed and I still didnt go. It was only two weeks back that I went to this famous shop in a famous mall and after swatching some lippies, she used a cleansing milk to wipe it off that smelled very nice... I asked her what she used and she said a name i didnt recognise. She then whispered that she bought it in "Monica" in Parrys and mother turned to give me I-told-you-so kinda smile.

      And so we went last week on thursday and it is a Paradise for me.... I could spend hours there... Heck i could take my vacation there... They have everything from Revlon, Faces, Diana of London, etc, etc, etc to the cheapest chinese eye shadows there. Plus there's also everything there, you will need to start a beauty parlor.

      We spent two wonderful hours there, and then I suprised Moms by paying for what she had bought as well since Mother's day is just around the corner... (I'm such a good daughter, aren't i?) I will do the posts in Parts. And then I liked the shop soooooooo much that i went there today along with my hubby.
There's such a mix of crowd there... Rich Marwadi Aunties, lady cops, Transgenders, flower sellers and me standing beneath the ac and trying to jostle for stuff.

Review:- Lotus Sunscreen Face Wash Gel.

     Even though Dhalias are my favourite flowers, Lotus is my favourite skincare brand. The Prices are reasonable and the products are effective...

     The product claims to leave a Sun Protection film after washing your face with it... And it's true... it leaves an oily film on my face that doesn't look oily at all after i apply sun block.

Directions: Before you apply Sunblock, Cream/Lotion, wash face with this sparkling gel. Squeeze out a small quantity on palm. Apply on wet face, lather and rinse. Pat Dry.

        It contains:
                             Grapes: Deep pore cleansing and normalising ph balance of skin.
                          
                             Plums: Helps deposit sunscreen agent on skin evenly and imparting smooth and silky feel to skin.

                                Ain't it Pretty? It has golden shimmers... if i ever turn gel like... i want to be this gel... :)

Yeahs:-

• Looks so pretty.
• Rs.110/- for 80 grams.
• Lathers well.
• Has a very very pleasent smell.
• Contains plums and grapes.
• Leaves a film, i dont tan when i wear this with sunblock.

Nays:-

• If you wear an oil based cream after using this, skin tends to get very oily and doesn't have that fresh look.
• Dont know whether it will suit oily skin.

My Rating: (5/5) I dont have oily skin....

Would i repurchase it? Yes... This has become a staple in my sun care routine...

Mini Random Haul

I went to a shop called Variety with my hubby to buy a gift for my favourite cousin who is one year old, here's what happened:-

                 Hubby: "Cherie, I'll be on the phone, please hurry back and dont buy anything for yourself, ok,? You've already got enough"
                
                Me: "I wont"

                Hubby: "Ya right" (he murmered this)

I bought the gift in two mins and went to see the SAs whom i know by name and you can guess what happened next...

            Hubby on the phone to me(twenty mins later!!!) :- "Cherie, come this instant"
         
           Me:"It's so crowded in the bill counter" There was one person there, i was looking at the nailpolishes.

           Hubby: "Why dont you turn around?"

           Me:- "Honey.... i bought a bounty for you" smiling widely...

When i was eleven years old my dad got Secret as a perfume and i used it until i was sixteen, all my friends used to love the smell... Tell us the name, they'll beg... Secret, i'll reply and they'll get angry and i'll be "dumborams that's the name of the perfume" I forgot about it untill now, when i bought it back home and took a whiff.... oh the memories....  Bee was in the next room and she yelled "It's secret" at the top of her voice and came running (waddling) over to take a sniff as well, I want to go to school again. Miss it soooooooo much,  Btw this spray has an amazing staying power and its only 100 bucks...

Review:- Tips and Toes Eye Shadow Palette.

           When all my peers in college, were exprementing with eye makeup and were planning to wear bikini blouses with stomach showing slinky sarees to our farewell Party ( it's an all girls college), i was hiding in the last bench, reading Harry Potter and shedding tears that Rowling killed Dumbledore. By the time i got over his death and agonizing that HP was coming to an end, farewell party had come and gone...

         It was only a few months back that i decided to give eye shadows a try, I asked my hubby to buy the tips and toes palette and learnt a golden lesson, never send guys to buy makeup. I shall do a different post on what he actually got me...

Mini Oriflame Haul...

    Happy Labourer's day everyone......  The month of May begins today... How we used to long for this month when we were in school..... Bee and i used to long for this month, it meant going to Chalakuddy(Kerala) to meet my great grandmother, my cousins,  swim in the canals, eat jackfruits and mangoes and then writhe in stomach pain, explore the green fields which were behind our house, climb the very same trees that my father did, eat puttu, scream with fear at an occasional snake (I'm more afraid of frogs) and go fishing in the canal with a towel... Looking back i think, where have all the days gone?

   Now a days, I cant bear the heat and i spend all day cooped up inside, the month of May doesn't have the shimmer it used to....  Guess I grew up...  Somehow going to a resort is not the same thing....Being without ac didnt bother me back then....
