Review: Lancome Bi-Facil Makeup Remover

Hi there.

While going through my blog, i felt that there's too many reviews for only skincare, and so i decided that hereafter at least for a while it's either going to be makeup or hair care. I have also started using a lot of organic items and I'm eager to share it with you as it is doing wonders for my skin and hair.
This tiny blue bottle was lying unused in my Mil's place and i asked her for it and she was more than happy for me to take it. First of all let me tell you that im not much of an eye makeup person. A kajal and some mascara and im done.

But if im going for a party then i take some time and try to use colors and all this while i used maybelline remover but this is too too good.

This was purchased by my Mil as a part of a travel set and so i dont know the exact price of it.

Pros:

  • It takes away heavy duty glittery makeup in just a single swipe,
  • Removes even waterproof makeup quite easily,
  • Not the least bit oily,
  • Can be used on sensitive skin,
  • I have been using this quite often and so far it has not caused any irritation or breakouts,
  • Has a mild smell and
  • Does not leave your eyes feeling cloudy and blurred.

Cons:
  • Tooooooooooooo pricey. A 100ml sized bottle retails for Rs1200/-
  • Availability is an issue.
                                                                  (a single swipe later)

Would I repurchase?
NO. I'm quite happy with the Maybelline Remover.

I know its a bit late to ask you all this, but did you watch Frozen? If you haven't i suggest you do so soon as its the perfect movie for summer. And the songs are an added bonus, Candy refuses to eat until she sees Olaf the Snowman in the movie and ppsstt my hubby liked this movie even though he will not admit it.

And yayyy... tomorrow is Friday...
Bye,

Nina Ricci Body Lotion- Review

Hi everyone....

My house has been undergoing a major renovation and i have been busy shuffling from my house to my Mil's place and back to Office. I've been MIA for two weeks now. So i thought i'll be back with a bang... and review a body lotion that I've been using for quite sometime now.

Ok... Let me take you to a flashback of sorts... I was nine years old when i watched the movie Casper and i loved Christina Ricci (the girl with a very large forehead) in it... And then sometime later I saw a Nina Ricci perfume in my Aunt's house and thought this was Christina's mom's perfume. lol... I used to think that anyone who had similar surnames are related. :)

I got this body lotion as a gift.... he he he... So lets take the plunge.. I cant seem to find a description on any website so....

Pros:

  • It smells gorgeous.... i'm usually mediocre in describing scents but for the life of me, i cant describe this scent although i get a very light whiff of musk and vanilla.
  • The texture is soft and is easily absorbed... seriously... its super fast, like cotton candy melting in your tongue.
  • Leaves my skin incredibly soft and supple.
  • Perfect summer lotion as its so very light.
  • Can be used for sensitive skin (do a patch test anyway)
  • The packaging is beautiful...

Cons:
  • Way too pricey for me at Rs. 1250/- for 100ml. I would never spend so much on a lotion.
  • Not available in India
  • The smell does not linger.... max an hour and then you need to re apply.

Would I Purchase? A Big fat NO!!!

On a completely random note.... I cant seem to get Katy Perry's roar out of my head... hubby is really tired of me jumping out and singing "Cause i'm a Champion and you're gonna hear me roar... louder... louder than a lion" to which he says "seriously louder than a lion??????" and i had to show him didn't i... "RRRRRROOOAAAARRRRR" he had the last straw when Candy joined in... poor him.

Oriflame Royal Velvet Repairing Day & Night Cream.

I don't know why, but these days i'm feeling very lazy... Maybe it's because of the heat or?????? Seriously the first thing i hate about Chennai is this DAMN HEAT. The weather is always warm or hot or scalding. I dread to face this summer. Maybe i'll escape to Moonar or to Dublin (where my brother stays)....

I never knew the importance of a day cream until i started working in front of computers.... The computer sucks all moisture of my skin and it becomes dry.... Oriflame Day cream came to rescue... TA DA..

I love the brand and as my Aunt is a rep... i often get discounts.

The night cream is of the lightest shade of lavender(Isn't it pretty?)

Description On the Website: (Day Cream)

A new and advanced Day Cream with a rich, sensual formula that firms, strengthens and intensely hydrates the skin. Enriched with the unique Black Iris Infusion, it leaves your skin feeling softer, firmer and visibly younger for longer. SPF 15. 50 ml.

Description On the Website: (Night Cream)

Nourishing night cream with Black Iris Infusion to restore the skin’s natural youth and improve firmness overnight. Luxurious texture. Faster firming-effect when combined with Royal Velvet Day Cream. 50 ml.

Pros:

  • Both the creams have a very light texture and are easily absorbed
  • They smell very mild
  • The results are pretty quick if used regularly.
  • The Day cream has SPF.
  • My skin is hydrated and feels firm
  • The night cream is not oily at all and you don't get that "heavy" feel like some of the other night creams.

Left: Day cream; Right: Night cream

Cons:

  • Available only through Consultants,
  • A bit pricey at Rs. 1250/- for 50ml.
My Rating: 4/5...

Would I repurchase? Maybe.

I hope you all enjoyed Women's Day....
Bye Bye Chicas..
