My First Book Review!!!!!

It's 12:11 AM, Vairam is sleeping peacefully beside me, the soft  hum of the ac can be heard and it's like as if i'm in safe cocoon. But sleep eludes me and so here i am.... typing away.

You know you're a book addict when you take four novels for the week and the library anna (any guy, other than our husbands, who is older than us; is anna for us Tamil Girls) says "Ivavlouthana?" meaning "Is that all?" I smile at him and make apologetic faces at my hubby who always moans that his entire life savings will be spent by me in libraries and bookstores.

Twos are always better than one, for example: Tom and Jerry, Brandon and Benwah ( my youngest cousins aged four and almost three who behave like Tom and Jerry), Ben and Jerry's ice cream, etc, etc.

Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child are remarkble when they write seperately but together they come up with some awe inspiring stuff.

The book starts with a bang, you dont have to wait to become excited, just read the first page and you'll forget about lunch or dinner. Dr. Nora Kelly gets a long delayed letter from her father who is belived to be dead talking about a lost city of gold.. She gets the funding from her Employer and goes into the dry and lonely place of Utah. The group consists of an interesting mix of a cowboy, a NASA engineer, a journalist, and a few archaeologists. Their main goal is to get great success by finding the legendary Incan treasure but Nora has a different agenda; finding her father.

Meanwhile they're evil forces out there hard at work to stop her from reaching that place. There's adventure, tragedy, romance, etc, etc.

Does Nora get the treasure? Does she meet her father? Read the book to find out... Reading this book is like watching an Indiana Jones movie without the whip and besides Nora is not afraid of snakes...... she is terrified of something else... find out for yourself.

As for me.... I'm gonna sleep. Have to visit the Library tomorrow. :)
